What's Happening in Roatan, Honduras
Hey y'all, hope all of you are doing well. I want to get started with saying thank you to all of you who support us, pray for us, and encourage us to keep going the extra mile for the Kingdom of God.
One of my favorite things that happened this month is, I started a Celebrate Recovery men's step study group. This group I know has been growing into a close brotherhood and it seems that we have come to the point where we know that we are powerless without God and through our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we can find true freedom. I meet with these guys every Monday evening for about an hour to an hour and a half.

Another favorite thing me and another guy did this month was put together a men's brotherhood luncheon at a local restaurant close by called Luna Beach. We had 25 men come to the luncheon after church on the 31st of October. I was able to share some upcoming events we are trying to do with the men on the island and I also shared a short devotion on brotherhood and what brotherhood meant to Jesus. We already have another plan for another luncheon for the men in January. We are doing this once a quarter. We are preparing the men to find community amongst fellow believers. We will, in the future, be doing a men's conference soon. We are in the works of getting that put together for next year in the summer. I did not get pics, but I will the next time we have our luncheon.
As you all know we work at the rehab here on the island. We have been teaching there now two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have just recently had more come to know Christ and also have had a few more baptisms. We are so excited to see these men change their lives for God's glory. Some of them are wanting to do big things for the Lord once they get out of the rehab. I ask that you continue to pray for the rehab and the choices that each and every one of the men make as they start to decide what their next steps are in life.

We have had the opportunity to help start a pickleball club here on the island. It has been a great opportunity to have fun with a purpose. I like meeting new people that live here on the island. I pray that my wife and I can be a light amongst this community and create relationships with them. We play at least twice a week for about two hours each time. It is great exercise and it helps to release some stress.

God is good and man when He blesses you, He really blesses you. We have been talking to our landlord for awhile now about moving into the front house on the beach. She has been really wanting to update it and use it for a vacation rental and she told us she was going to think about it. Well, after about two months we kind of gave up about it and just stayed content with the house that we were in. She all of a sudden dropped by one day and told us that she has really been thinking about it and handed us the keys. I was speechless and did not know what to say. I had my study with the men that evening and as soon as it was over I decided to start moving. We had everything moved by the end of the next day. I am so glad that she decided to let us move here. We now have a deck that looks out over the ocean that is about 150 square foot. It is so beautiful here and the awesome thing about it is that she did not even change the rent, she kept it the same. I give God all the glory and I thank Him everyday for this blessing. We are working on getting mission packages together where you all can start coming out here for mission trips.

My birthday was this month too. I did not want to really do much except go to this restaurant that is on the other side of the island called Kristi's Overlook. It was a great time and I enjoyed it with my wife and youngest son Guenther. Afterwards my wife asked me what I wanted to do and I really did not know what to do. So, after we got home I decided to see if my friend was going to be at his coffee shop/ice cream shop that he owns. He messaged back and said yes, so we went there and hung out with him for my birthday and learned how to play a new game called cribbage. It was difficult at first, but now I think I got the hang of it. I had a really great time for my birthday and it was low key and nothing fancy.

Again, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. We could not do this without you. God is doing great and mighty things here on the island and I hope and pray that you will soon come and visit and see it for yourself.

Thanks and God bless to you all,
