Transformation!!!
Hey all it is so nice to be writing another blog to tell you what has been going on here in Roatan, Honduras. God has been doing some amazing changes in and through me and I want to share them with you.
As a lot of you know, I have had the opportunity to be able to preach at different locations around the island. Through doing this act of obedience and also through what I am learning in Bible college, I believe God is calling me to be a full-time pastor. I have sat down with my wife and talked about it, I have sat in prayer with the Lord and talked about it, and I have met with my local pastor here in Honduras and talked about it. I believe there is an adamant confirmation from the Lord on this. I am taking the steps now to finish my online schooling and meet with my pastor once a week for spiritual guidance in this area. I am so excited and am full of joy that the Lord has called me to this specific task. I do not believe He is changing where He has us here in Honduras. We are still continuing to run Celebrate Recovery and have a keen focus on bringing the Gospel through recovery here in Honduras. God is so good and through seeing His plan I would not change anything in the world for where He has me in my life now.

I also wanted to mention that I have had a significant physical transformation, too. There was a time when I was nearly 300 pounds and I had all kinds of health problems. Through many different plans to get my weight down, and through adamant prayer and hard work, I have finally reached my goal of 190 pounds. I have lost around 100 pounds and feel like I once did when I was in high school. I have also been praying to the Lord about how I should eat and I believe He has called me to a new lifestyle change of Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB). This is what got the last bit of my weight off and I have nearly been on this plan for 90 days. This plan has changed so much in my life and when people ask me what I cannot eat, I say, If it had a face or a momma, I do not eat it. I truly love eating this way and I do not miss eating the other way at all.

As a lot of you know, our son Messiah was home from college for two week in the summer. He had a great time and we had a great time having him here. I was able to see him serve in the church here by using his wonderfully talented voice to sing and lead the worship. I was also able to play basketball with him, which we look forward to doing every time he comes home. We will see him again around Christmas time.

I have just started my Junior year in college. I finished up my final sophomore class over the summer and for my final project I had to do a video of tracing grace through the Old Testament and had to post it on youtube. Here is a link to the video I had to do for class.

Like I said I am now in my Junior year and working on the New Testament in every class that I am taking. I am so excited on what I am going to be learning this semester so that I can share it with you all, but most of all, add it to some of the upcoming sermons I will be preaching in the future.
One of the hardest things I had to do this month was to prepare for a Men's Conference. About six months ago, the wife of the pastor of our church asked me if I would like to head up and lead a Men's Conference, and I said, yes, even though that is something I have never done before. I am so glad that it worked out and the Men's Conference is set for September 2nd - 4th 2022. I got t-shirts made for all the men and got a banner made for the conference. I am also preparing myself to speak in addition to two other men that I have also asked to speak. I believe the Men's Conference is going to be awesome and that God is going to change many mens lives. I will let you know next month on how well the conference went.

Even when I am talking to you about all of these mountain top experiences, we did have a valley that hit us this month. I am not going to spend too much time on it, because my wife and my son has also written about it, so you can go to their blog and find out more info on the valley. This valley was a devastating valley that no father ever wants to go through. Our son, Guenther, who has mental health issues decided to run away on a Sunday afternoon. We could not find him anywhere, and the only way he returned is that he decided to make a phone call wanting to come back home. We had just about every person we knew on the island praying and looking for him. We also had the police and all hotels on the island looking for him. I was in complete devastation and could not understand why he would choose to do something like this. But, once he returned home that feeling went away and I was filled with joy that my son returned home. I will let you all read his blog and my wife's blog to get a better understanding of the situation.

Prayers for our family:
1)That I fulfill the calling that God has called on my life.
2)That more and more people will come to saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus.
3)That our son will understand the truth of love within our family.
4)For Celebrate Recovery to be placed all over the islands and mainland of Honduras.
I want to send a special thank you out to all that pray for us continually, support us being here, and loving our family as we are serving the Lord.
