Same Old, Same Old, Still Missing my Beloved...

Hey everyone, how are all of you doing? I hope you all are doing well. This month has gone by really fast and I am extremely glad it has because my beautiful wife will be returning back to the island in just a few days and we are so very excited for her return. This month has been pretty much routine and not so much new stuff.

First, I would like to talk about my wonderful wife. She is so awesome and beautiful and I love her so much. These past few months that she has been gone has really shown me how much she really does around the house and how much she does for me. I miss her so much and I am so glad that my best friend and sole mate will be returning in just a few days.

Second, I would like to talk about the rehab that I teach at every week. Recently, every time that I go there, there has been at least two or three new guys that have entered into the rehab. When this is happening, it means that there are guys leaving the rehab also. I am so glad to see new faces, but I am sad that some faces have gone and have not finished their time there. I am asking that you pray for these men and women, that they will seek Christ to break their chains of addiction. It is very tough for a lot of them because most of them do not have a clean family member to go back to and so they usually fall right back into the pit of addiction. I also ask that you pray for us, because we feel there is a need for an after care housing for the men and women when they leave the rehab, like a transitional house so that they can get back on their feet the correct way and be able to support themselves outside of the rehab. They need a second chance in life and we have the ability to give this to them, so please pray that God will open some doors so that we can open a transitional house for them.

Third, we had another hurricane that hit us at the beginning of November. It did not do too much damage but it did cause a little flooding in some areas. There were a lot of people praying that the storm would move north and not hit us directly and it did just that. It was supposed to hit us head on and people were even boarding up their windows, but just before it got to us it moved slightly north so we did not get the severity of the storm. God is so good at answering prayers in his own timing.

Fourth, I am part of a pickleball club and we have been playing on a multipurpose outdoor court for a long time. For our lines we used painters tape. Well, this month we got the approval to go in and paint our lines on the court so now we have permanent lines for our pickleball courts.

Fifth, I was able to get up all the Christmas decorations for our house. I wanted to make sure that I got them up before Lorenda got home so that she would not have to do it. I want her to be able to come back and just relax and not have to worry about a thing.

Lastly, I want to talk about my college. I am finishing up my first semester of my junior year at Eternity Bible College. I have taken some pretty tough classes but all in all it is completely worth it in all that I am learning. One of my hardest classes I think I have ever taken is a general education class, Biology. I had to do over 10 at home science labs that took many hours and also had to take multiple exams that were really hard. I am proud to say that I am hoping to pass the class with a high B. At Eternity I am keeping a GPA of 3.7 and am hoping to keep it above 3.5 because it will truly help me to get accepted into a masters program at another college somewhere. I have high hopes and future dreams to have a masters degree and a doctorate degree. Please continue to pray for me that I continue in my studies to learn all of what God would like me to know so that I can be all that I can be for His honor and glory and to further His kingdom.

Thank you all for all of your wonderful prayers for us here on the mission field and also for my wife back in the states. Thank you all that support us financially because without you this would not be able to happen here on the island. Also, I would like to invite you out to come and visit us here in Roatan, Honduras. It is a Caribbean island just off the north coast of Honduras. For more info on visiting us please contact Lorenda through Facebook. We would love to have you here. Thank you all and God bless.
