March Goodness...
Hey all. Hope you are all doing well. This month has had a lot of ups and downs but God is good and a lot has happened this month for His honor and glory.
The rehab has been going very well. We have seen many lives changed that have come through the drug and alcohol rehab. We have been teaching there on Thursdays. Our focus is to show them in the Bible about God's love to all of mankind that believe in Jesus for shedding His blood for their sins. We hope to see their lives turned around and turn their mess into a message for God's glory. Once they accept Jesus we teach them how they can tell others about what Jesus has done in their lives. A lot of people from the street have come to the rehab because of the stories of some of the men that have gone through the rehab and have cleaned up and are doing right. Once they see this, they want the same thing. I ask that you continue to pray for these men and women that they may seek Jesus and turn from the drugs and alcohol and go out and be disciple makers for Jesus Christ.

During this month I had something go wrong with my back and I was down for about two weeks. It was so bad that I had to get a steroid shot to try and alleviate some of the pain. It did not work, so I just rested and did nothing for several days. Finally, some of the pain went away to where I could get up and do some things. I slowly started back doing things and eventually I have been able to get back to normal. I still have not went back to the gym yet, but hopefully this coming up next week I will be back in the gym. Please continue to pray for me as I still have sciatic pain, but it is not something I cannot deal with. I just want to stay healthy and be able to do all that God has called me to do.
Our car this month has needed some repairs and one of them was the water pump. On our particular car, they have to drop the motor to replace the water pump. We also had several other things that needed to be fixed. It took them about a week to get it all done and now we have our car back. We have had a small crack in our windshield for a very long time, but now it has spread throughout the entire windshield. We now have to put it back in the shop to get the windshield replaced. Sometimes, I feel as if it is one thing after another when it comes to auto repairs, but God has truly kept this car running well and this car has been a great blessing to help with the work of the ministry.
This month was our kick off for Celebrate Recovery. We are running the Landing which is for teens on Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm. We are so excited that every week we have had someone new come to the group for the teens. The teens are truly loving this group and are excited about coming the following week. I ask that you pray for us as we are training some leaders to run the teen group on Saturdays and that the teens will continue to invite their friends so that the ministry for the teens will grow. Please, also pray for their openness to speak about their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. We have also kicked off the adult program of Celebrate Recovery with the kids program called Children's Place. This is also on Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm. There have been new kids that have come each week. I ask that you pray for our adult group to grow and that the people that live here on the island see that this group is for all people not just for drugs and alcohol.

During this month I have also had the opportunity to preach on the other side of the island. It was an awesome time and I am glad that God is using me all over this island. I was able to preach to them about Romans Road. They were able to hear about sin, and what they need to do to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and King of their life. I have a few other opportunities coming up that I will be preaching, so I ask that you pray for me to be used by God in a mighty way to speak to the people what He wants me to speak.
This month was also Guenther's 16th birthday. We had plans to do something for him on his birthday, but it ended up being a rainy day so Lorenda was able to get him some sushi, one of his favorite things to eat. This was also the same time that my back was hurt so I could not do too much. Lorenda took him to our weekly Bible study for our life group and they celebrated his birthday their with a lot of foods that he likes. They had a great time, but I was stuck at the house.
I am still in school at Eternity Bible College. I am currently finishing up my Junior year and I will be starting my Senior year next fall. I am so excited to have a Bachelors of Advanced Biblical and Cultural Exegesis. The good news is that once I graduate I have already been accepted into Luther Rice College and Seminary to get my Masters of Divinity. I have learned so much from being in school and have been using it in my teaching and preaching opportunities. The classes that I have taken have also helped me better interpret the Word of God through its cultural context and the background of what the author was trying to get across to his audience. I am so thankful to have been able to do this completely debt free. Continue to pray for me that I can finish schooling and that a lot of what I am learning can stay lodged in my brain.

I am so thankful for all of you that have made this opportunity for us to serve the Lord here in Honduras. We are so grateful for the prayers and your sacrificial giving that has made all this work for the glory of God. We give Him all the praise and honor.
