JESUS, Stomach Bug, Update, and Family Time Games

Updated: Jun 5, 2020

Hello Friends!!! Hope you are doing well and find my first topic, JESUS, encouraging as this world we live in is becoming really strange and crazy. I could go on and on about all the different, strange, crazy things that are happing and I am sure you could too, BUT tonight I want to focus on JESUS CHRIST the only one that can give us true PEACE. I encourage you to dig deep into the BIBLE and search for PEACE only where it can be found, in JESUS CHRIST. I am eternally grateful for my salvation and the peace that was freely given to me by the death of JEUS CHRIST on the cross. My life was forever change that day I decided to follow Him back in 2010.

Here is just one comforting verse on peace, but there are so many...

Share a verse that you like about peace in the comments. I would love to hear from you and be encouraged by a verse you share as I hope you have been encouraged by the one that I shared.

Although I have the peace of Jesus, that does not mean my life is free from troubles. In fact, the Bible says....

So trouble is coming, but take heart..Jesus has overcome the world!!! It is not what happens to us, but how we react to it. Let’s react victoriously!! So we will dig into one of the not so pleasant parts of my week now....the infamous stomach bug. After living here a while now, my family and I made the mistake thinking our bodies were accustomed to the food here and found out quickly that we have some work to do in this area. In the blog post from last week I mentioned that our lovely neighbors brought us soup over to help with me not feeling well from bleeding so much. She said that the soup would make us feel better. Well it took a turn for the worst in our house. First came Tyler...in bed one whole day (except for the too many to count trips to the bathroom), then me, and then Guenther. Messiah was spared this time and he was so grateful as he usually is the first to get sick, but he somehow avoided it this time around. We are all much better now, just took a day of laying on the couch watching family movies. I am so grateful we are better. Praise the Lord!

UPDATE on my health. I went to town last week to get blood work and it came back great! No infection/inflammation, blood work not showing pregnant, red blood cell count in normal levels. I am now taking a medicine to tell my uterus to stop shedding it's lining, which is what is most likely causing the prolonged bleeding. So far it is working and is gone some days and other days only a light, very tiny bit. I have to take it for 10 days, so I will keep you posted. Prayers that this works and that I am back healthy please. Also prayers for my family as the medicine I am taking is a hormone and my grace level can run low, help me JESUS.

Finally to my favorite time...FAMILY GAME TIME!!! My family and I love to play cards together. If you look in my purse, you will find a deck of cards. Here's the one that is in there now....

We travel a lot and you only have so much bag space, so having a deck of cards on hands is the best. There are so many different games to play with a deck of cards that I can't even count. Some games help with memory, others turn taking, and so much more. So what I have been doing for the past month is every Sunday looking up a new game to play with a deck (or two) of cards and teaching it to the family. It has been so much fun.

Here are links to the last 5 games that I have taught the family. If the directions seem to be hard to follow and you are a visual learner like me, watch a "how to" video on youtube.

Blessings and until next Wednesday!!
