Hey Y'all! God is Doing Great Things Here in Honduras!!!

So glad to be blogging again. It is great to be able to get out to y'all what we are doing here in Roatan, Honduras. This month has been great. We started out the month on going to the mainland to check on a Children's Place (Celebrate Recovery program for kids K - 5). When we walked in and saw the place we were so amazed at how they are working with these children. Right now they are working with a few kids that are in foster care and it is truly helping them to talk about their emotions. The teachers there that are running the program are doing a fantastic job and we hope to be able to use them for some trainings in the future to get other children's programs all over Honduras.

While we were on the mainland, we were able to go to a friends wedding. She was a fellow missionary that we met in language school and we had a real good relationship with her. She married a Honduras, so it was awesome to see a Honduran wedding.

Another thing we got to do while we were on the mainland was to go and visit the language school that we were a part of for almost a year. It was our first visit back there since we have been done with school for over a year and a half. We were able to go in and have conversations in Spanish with our teachers that we use to have. It was great to reconnect with them.

We did so much there on the mainland for only being there four days. The last thing we did was playing a soccer game. We have a friend that is a coach for a ladies soccer league and we rented a small soccer court and played soccer. I had a great time and these ladies kicked my butt. I was still happy though because I made four goals. We have to have some fun sometimes and this was a great time.

When we got back to the island, a few days later we had some friends that flew in to have a relax time but also see about how to get a team here to help with getting people on fire here for Celebrate Recovery. We are working the logistics out on it now, but we are so excited to have a pep rally for Celebrate Recovery.

We have started a construction project here on the island. We have a friend that has never had a bathroom or shower her entire life. We are working on building her this bathroom and blessing her with something that we as Americans take for granted. This is a very humbling experience. I have used a few of the guys from the rehab that are good with construction to help us out and we are having a great time on this project. All glory goes to God.

My mens step study group is going great. We are in book 2 and we will soon start working on our inventories. God is good and He is changing lives all over this island.

Another group we do is called life group. We have this group at our house every Thursday night to share a meal together and to have a Bible study. We have also grown really close together and we call each other family and we look out for each other in times of need. I really enjoy this group and the time that they give me to teach the word of God. I have never really been a good teacher and all of these opportunities that God keep giving me is helping me to be a better teacher. I give Him all the glory, cause without Him I am nothing.

As a lot of you know I am also a full-time college student online. I am getting my Bachelors in Biblical Studies. I am currently finishing up my sophomore year and it is the toughest that I have had so far. I am currently taking 18 credit hours and it has been one of the toughest things I have ever done. All my spare time outside of ministry pretty much goes to schooling online. I am so grateful for this opportunity and I am learning so much more than I have ever been taught and it is making me a better teacher at the rehab, step study group, and the life group.

I am so excited for April because my mom is coming here to visit for the first time. I am so excited to see her and she arrives on the 5th of April. Please pray for her safe travels and that she will have a great time while she is here.

I ask that you continue to pray for us in all that God is calling us to do. We are staying busy and many lives are being changed here in Honduras. We hope to see you one day here in Honduras, so plan your trip and come on out. Thanks for all that you are doing to make this happen in Honduras. To God be the glory for great things He hath done!
