Friendships are Crucial in Life
This blog is not going to be a normal blog where I talk about what I have done for the past week or month, but it will be about a friendship that I have made here in Honduras that has been so beneficial in my life as a missionary.

(Our first time meeting each other)
When I first moved to Honduras I was hoping to find a great friend that I could talk to about struggles and a person I could get great Biblical advice from. After being here for a month, I still did not find that friend. Coming from Celebrate Recovery in the states it is crucial to have an accountability friend that you can go to for anything. I have many accountability partners in the states that i could talk to, but now that I was a missionary in a foreign land I did not have that person to go to here. Even though I am a missionary does not mean that I don’t struggle. We all struggle with hurts, habits, and hang-ups and we all need that friend or accountability partner that we can go to.

After about two months God showed me the person that I was going to be best friends with. We started going to our church in Comayagua, Comayagua, Honduras (Ministerio Linaje Escogido) and the pastor (Peter Hearne) there is the same age as me and we connected quick. Whenever I needed someone to talk to he was always there for me and I was always there for him. We created a bond that I don’t think I have ever made before in my lifetime. He gives sound Biblical advice and is very encouraging to me.

True friendships are hard to come by, but when you get a friend like I have, don’t ever give up on them and always be there for them through everything. Be a friend to where you would lay down your life for them if you could.
Thank you Peter for always being there for me and I am honored to call you my best friend.
