FARMING, CATCHING BIRDS and NO SICKNESS:-)
Hi guys, I hope that y'all are doing good over there. This week has been pretty good and we have learned a lot. This week, we went to help out in the farm in our back yard with our neighbors. The dad taught us how to fertilize corn, and plant bananas. I have farmed a lot before, but fertilizing corn is back breaking work. BACK BREAKING. It doesn't look hard, but it is. I think that the hard part was being bent over to put the fertilizer in the hole that you made. I had fun, and we have to do it again in about 35 days.

Planting bananas is a very unique thing because they don't have seeds, but you can plant them. Our neighbor in our backyard showed us how the banana plant produces kids next to the mom. When we see the kids, we dig them up, and plant them elsewhere to grow into big producing banana trees.

On the farm we have so much growing. We have corn, bananas, yuca ( it's a root vegetable and is so good when it's fried) nanci (a fruit), papayas, lemons, mangos and two pineapple plants. I can't wait until they all start to bloom!!!

This week was also super cool because we had an time of catching birds on our property. My brother, Guenther is afraid of the birds, but I love to catch them and hold them. They are REALLY hard to catch, and some bite... HARD, but its worth it. The coolest thing was catching the turkey. The turkey was really easy to catch because he ran really slow, and when you caught him, he didn't try to bite.

For a few days this week my family was sick. I was very excited that I didn't get sick. My whole family got sick and had very hurt stomachs. Usually, I'm the first one to get sick, but I didn't get sick this time. Everyone now is okay, and they feel a lot better.
