Exciting News...

It's been a while since I blogged due to us fighting COVID for a few weeks, but now I don't know where to start because so much has happened.

I'll start with a health update: all of us are doing great and back healthy. The only thing is my smell/taste. I can smell/taste things that are close, but not an aroma in a room. That is good and bad. Good meaning I don't smell when the guys use the bathroom, but bad because I can't smell when delicious food is cooking. Please come aside me in prayer for a full recovery on my smell/taste. Thanks you!

Them just one more thing before all of the exciting ministry updates...today is Tyler’s 36th birthday and we’re we’re able to go on a little fishing excursion and he loves it!! He‘ll tell you all about it tomorrow when he blogs.

Ok, now for the exciting news about Celebrate Recovery (3 things)......

1. We are doing Celebrate Recovery at the rehab on Monday nights at 6pm caribbean style and it is amazing!!!!! It is such a blessing to celebrate the lives being changed at "Jesus is the Solution" rehab. As our brother in Christ and the director of the rehab says were getting high on the Spirit!! Dancing, signing, rejoicing, testifying of the goodness of God, powerful celebrate recovery lesson, sweet fellowship, yummy snack and a cool drink are all included in our wonderful celebration. This past week my sister in Christ got up and shared the powerful working of Jesus Christ in her life and then sang a song declaring "Goodbye world, I stay no longer with you. Goodbye pleasures of sin, I stay no longer with you. I've made up my mind, to go God's way, the rest of my life. I've made up my mind, to go God's way, the rest of my life." And let me tell you what, she sang and danced and praised God for bringing her out of the darkness and into the light. It was a grand celebration! This time of celebration is something we look forward to each week!

2. We will soon be starting a Celebrate Recovery for the West End of the island of Roatan Honduras though our church "R Church" as a community outreach for all who want to find freedom and healing in Jesus Christ. We are in the beginning planning stages, meaning we are trying to figure out location, day, time, leadership team, etc. God is on the move and has all of this figured out, but we ask that you come alongside us in prayer for God to guide us each step of the way.

3. We will be doing a Celebration Place leadership training on the mainland after the new year. For those that are new to Celebrate Recovery, it is a program designed to help all members of the family find healing through Jesus Christ. Celebration Place is the children's program of Celebrate Recovery. The only problem with this right now is that our materials are only in English, so pray for me as I work on translating them into Spanish before January. We are super pumped about this training and look forward to seeing many kiddos find healing at a young age through Jesus Christ from their hurts, hang-ups and habits.

To wrap up this blog I want to talk to you about an amazing group of women God has placed in my life....my Wednesday morning Bible study ladies!!! Let me tell you what, these ladies love Jesus and love the Word! It is so refreshing to study the Bible with them, but most of all I love how transparent this group is on their struggles and need for Jesus. I look forward to our sweet time together every Wednesday. Added bonus, I gained a mentor from the group!! Titus 2 talks a lot about mentoring others and having someone mentor you. God has been so good to me and I have amazing godly mentors in the states who I can call at any hour, but I can't see them much face to face since I'm in Honduras and they are in the states. So God was nudging me to ask a strong godly woman to be my mentor and help me continue to grow in my faith and hold me accountable...I asked her and she said yes!!! I am more than thrilled to live life with her and grow in our faith together. She sure is a blessing and I can't wait to meet up with her this weekend!

Our God is so good, and all I can say is that I am honored and thrilled to be used by Him to bring the love of Jesus to Honduras!
