Because of your partnership....we are able to make HIS (God's) great name known!

I used to think that making lots of money and owning lots of stuff was the purpose of living. While making good money and owning lots of stuff is not bad, for me it was my focus and desire...but one that never satisfied.

When God called our family to sell everything we own to go serve Him where ever, surprisingly it was the most freeing experience I have ever had. It meant that NOTHING was holding me back from going where ever God wanted me to go to make His great name known. I may be serving God in Honduras right now, but I know where my citizenship is (spiritually talking) in HEAVEN...Philippians 4:20 "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."

It takes the body of Christ to get this task of making His great name known accomplished. Because friends, families and churches in the states give...our family is able to GO and make HIS great name known. We are honored to be the feet of Jesus here in Honduras, but know it takes an army of believers back home to accomplish the things of the Lord here. For your support in prayer and financially, we are eternally grateful. It is helping us get the good news of the gospel (JESUS CHRIST) to Honduras.

So this past month has me reflecting on all the ways we are able to be the hands and feet of Jesus because of y'all's generosity.

One major area of ministry that is a huge blessing to be a part of is teaching the Bible at the only drug and alcohol rehab in Roatan, Honduras. If you ask any rehabber here what we teach, they will all say "Romans Road and Hebrews 12:2"...along with helping them find answers to their tough questions in the Bible. Romans Road...because it is the directions to Jesus and our heavenly home. Hebrews 12:2...because it tells us where our focus should be...on Jesus! I love when I see someone months after they graduate the rehab and they remind me what they learned through our time teaching at the rehab. The Word of God is living and active...Hebrews 4:12.

As you know, we not only help those that are currently in the rehab, but our desire is to help them transition when they get out as well. What that looks like for each person is very different. This month we were able to be there for a recent rehab graduate and good friend, Bani, to both celebrate his 54th birthday and also to help him through the wake and funeral of his beloved mother. She tragically died shortly after he graduated the rehab, but she died knowing her son who was on drugs 30+ years was clean...Prasie God! It was an emotional roller coaster ride for him, but we got to show him love through the highs and lows. We value his friendship and his family's friendship.

A new blessing in ministry this month, included hosting a new life group through our local church in Honduras at our house every week teaching the Bible. Our house was packed and it was a blessing. There are anywhere from 10-18 adults and 5-10 kiddos each week. We get to enjoy a meal together and study the Word of God together. It is great time of food and fellowship. Our verse for this group is Hebrews 10:24-25. When Tyler and I were talking to God about what to teach at the life group he spoke to us separately, but said the same thing...teach what you first learned when you were first studying the Bible "13 Weeks Through the Bible". The study is going well and we are looking forward to all God is going to do in and through this group.

Side blessing....our landlord let us move to the front beach house. It is older inside then our other rental, but the view is killer and it has a open living concept to better house the large life group were hosting and a huge porch...which we plan to use for so many God things.

There are so many more God stories I could share, but it would just go on and on and on and on. Those are just a few of the highlights. God is on the move here in Honduras and all around the world. Stay tuned for details on taking a short term mission trip here and seeing/being a part of what God is doing here in Roatan, Honduras.

Prayer Requests…

*for starting a ladies Celebrate Recovery step study group soon

*for God to move greatly on the hearts of people here in Honduras

*for our vehicle to get repaired (needs new tires bad and the back hinge broke on the back lift gate)

Praise

*Many rehab students accepting Jesus and getting baptized

*Tyler started a men’s Celebrate Recovery step study group

Until next month...love y'all bunches, blessings!
